After studying this passage, I found that I should have linked 7-11 with verses 1-6 in the same sermon (and perhaps 4:13-17 as well). I would have had a hard time doing this passage justice without putting it with the others. I held off on verse 12 because it is a stand alone saying that I would rather deal with in the sermon on the mount.
